The war axe was one of the chief hand weapons used by the soldiers of Rohan, a kingdom of noble and brave horsemen who protected the lands of central Middle-earth. They were the greatest ally to the Kingdom of Gondor in the war against Sauron. This authentically detailed axe replica is a reproduction of an actual filming prop crafted by Weta Workshop of New Zealand and used in THE LORD OF THE RINGS films presented by New Line Cinema. It features a false-edged, deeply-bearded, 1055 carbon steel blade with intricately engraved designs and a horse head motif on the poll. With an overall length of 85 cm, the oval American Hickory handle shaft features a genuine leather wrapped grip. Each axe is presented with a wood wall display and certificate of authenticity.
